Jennifer is more than an brilliant architect and designer. She is a dynamo who transformed the lives of our family of six in every conceivable way. Jennifer designed a whole-house renovation and addition for our home of 23 years. Every inch inside and out was improved. From the first day we met her, Jennifer immediately recognized our fledgling vision and was on board. She created a design to transform our cramped colonial house into a gorgeous modern farm home, including a master addition and interior modernizations that will take our family from the present through our old age. She was available to assist me in choosing materials and finishes large and small for our home's exterior and interior. She was my partner for multiple trips to lighting, flooring, plumbing and countertop shops to help me make selections. These choices reflected our vision, were within our budget and also satisfied our desire for beautiful aesthetic quality and honest design. Jennifer advocated for us at every weekly site meeting and was available for any question I had, large or small. Her professionalism is evident to all around her, from site managers to subcontractors. She is always organized and prepared - she commands respect from all through her calm confidence. Our entire home renovation finished on-time and within our budget range.
What pleases me most about our time with Jennifer is more than our stunning 'new' home. She taught all of us, and especially our four children aged 10-18, how good design matters and influences our everyday lives. Jennifer often involved the whole family in her design decisions. She was a patient listener who took their concerns and ideas seriously and created spaces that reflected their individual daily needs. Our children were able to have input and learned that detail, color, space, form and material can create calm, beautiful, and organized living spaces. They have a new appreciation and understanding for the everyday spaces around them at home and in the world. Jennifer is more than an exceptional architect and designer. She has become our friend and part of our family circle, and we will always be grateful for the time she spent with us creating our beautiful home.
